We discuss PSR J1740 + 1000, one of five pulsars recently discovered in a search of 470 deg at 430 MHz during the upgrade of the 305 m Arecibo Telescope. The period P = 154 ms and period derivative P = 2.1 x 10(exp -14) s s(exp -1) imply a spin-down age tau(sub s) = P/2P = 114 kyr that is smaller than 95% of all known pulsars. The youth and proximity of …The exception is the 11 kyr old Vela pulsar, where frequent large glitches prevent a phase-coherent measurement of the braking index, but measuring in the aftermath of glitches has allowed a measurement of n = 1.4 ± 0.2 over ∼25 years of data (Lyne et al. 1996). The initial goal of timing PSR J0205+6449 was to measure its braking index.3.4 PSR B1758−23 (J1801−2306, τ= 60 kyr) The frequency and timing residuals for this pulsar are shown in Fig. 6. A total of 6 glitches have been detected in PSR B1758−23 since MJD 46697. The first three glitches were reported by Kaspi et al. (1993), the next one by Shemar & Lyne (1996) and we show two more recent glitches here.Figure 17.1 (a) Sextants and grid for recording BPE in adults. The chronological framework and high resolution of this core can help better interpret the paleoclimatology and paleoceanography at centennial-millennial timescales. This core has been analyzed using the alkenone unsaturation index (UK′37) to determine the sea surface temperatures over the last 3.6 kyr ... e joy wall panelsskys klabjudge laura maria gonzalez marques PSR J2021+3651 is a 17 kyr old rotation powered pulsar detected in the radio, X-rays, and $\gamma$-rays. We present the discovery and timing of the young (age ∼28.6 kyr) pulsar PSR J0837–2454. Based on its high latitude ( b = 98) and dispersion measure …The present study documents the complete record of the upper ocean structure over the last 190 kyr covering two G/IG cycles in the subtropical NW Pacific area for the first time. We used two long cores, one from the ECS and another from the Pacific Ocean, to monitor the environmental changes of the Kuroshio Current and NPSG area.
